How does Ccavenue Payment Protection work?

Ccavenue Payment Protection is a five-step process. It acts as a trusted medium and protects the buyer by allowing inspection of the goods before funds are disbursed to seller; and protects the Seller by verifying funds before initiating shipment.

When will the buyer receive the invoice of order?

The invoice should be shared directly from seller to buyer & Ccavenue Payment Protection. Ccavenue Payment Protection is an intermediator & will not provide any invoice.

How does buyer confirm his order upon receipt?

Buyer can confirm delivery acceptance on call made by Ccavenue Customer Support.

When does the Seller ship the items?

The seller is notified by Ccavenue Payment Protection to ship the items once we verify that the payment from the Buyer is received.

Who bears the shipping cost?

The Seller will bear the shipping cost and the total amount payable through Ccavenue Payment Protection is net of this cost. Ccavenue Payment Protection will not do any such calculations and split payments at its end and simply transfer the amount received to the Seller.

How long does it take for the order to be delivered?

Buyers and sellers agree to an estimated delivery date at the time of transaction creation. However, an extension can be made if the buyer and Seller mutually agree on a new date and place and put a timeline extension request on the platform.
If the buyer did not receive the goods (goods still in transit) even after being shipped by the seller, the buyer needs to contact the seller negotiate a longer shipping period.
If the seller has not shipped the order before the agreed date, the buyer can always contact the seller to agree on a new date; or make a Refund Request.

How can the buyer track their order?

Ccavenue Payment Protection does not track the shipments itself. It relies on the tracking ID provided by the seller and third-party data to track, wherever applicable.

What are the supported shipping methods?

Since the shipping methods are set up by the sellers, buyers are advised to directly contact the seller for more shipping information. 
However, to enable Ccavenue Payment Protection to protect all parties, Ccavenue Payment Protection advises that shipment is sent via a method of shipping that allows online tracking and insurance. The party shipping the item can only ship to the address provided on Ccavenue Payment Protection platform for the other party.

When can buyer change his shipping address?

Shipping address can be changed before the shipment. Shipping address cannot be revised after the shipment has been made.

What if the buyer doesn’t get the delivery in time?

If the goods are not delivered in time after the Seller has confirmed shipment, we advise buyer to contact the seller immediately for an extension to the Delivery Period.

What can the buyer do if the product received is not as per specification?

In case of any problem with the product received, the buyer has 2 days from the date of delivery to raise a dispute with Ccavenue Payment Protection. Once a dispute has been raised, both parties have 15 business days to resolve the issue amongst themselves and notify Ccavenue Payment Protection of the resolution.

When can a buyer raise a dispute?

The buyer can raise a dispute after the shipment has been delivered by informing Ccavenue Payment Protection.

What is dispute resolution?

Once the dispute is raised on the Ccavenue Payment Protection (considered the Dispute Date), the buyer and seller have 15 business days to mutually resolve their dispute. Both parties should consent to the resolution and notify Ccavenue Payment Protection for action within such period. 
If the buyer and seller have not resolved the dispute within the 15-business day Negotiation Period, Ccavenue Payment Protection is authorized to foreclose the transaction, refund the payment to the buyer and ship the products back to the seller.

How much time will it take to refund the buyer’s money?

In case of order cancellation, the money is refunded back into the buyer’s account within 7 business days.

What if the Buyer forgets to inform Ccavenue Payment Protection about his acceptance or rejection of the goods delivered?

Ccavenue Payment Protection will release funds to the seller at the end of three business days of delivery receipt, as long as the buyer has not declined the shipment by raising a dispute. Please note that Ccavenue Payment Protection will be sending repeated notices and reminders for buyer's participation during such period.
